This policy explains what information Mercatus collects when you sign up for early access on mercatuslb.com, why we collect it, and what you can do about it. We keep it short and plain on purpose.
Who we are
Mercatus is a marketplace app being built for Lebanon. If you have any question about your information, email us at partners@mercatuslb.com.
What we collect
- Your business name and email address, which you type into the sign-up form.
- Who invited you, if you signed up through another business's invite link.
- The date you signed up.
Your browser also remembers your own invite code on your device, so you can see your invite counter when you come back. This stays on your device and is not a tracking cookie.
We do not use analytics, advertising trackers or tracking cookies on this website.
Why we collect it
- To let you know when Mercatus is ready and help you get set up.
- To run the invite program: count the businesses that join with your link and give you the reward you earn.
- To prevent abuse of the invite program, such as fake or duplicate sign-ups.
Who can see it
- Only the Mercatus team can see the sign-up list.
- When you share your invite link, people who open it see your business name ("… invited you to Mercatus"). They never see your email.
- Our website and sign-up data are hosted by Netlify, whose servers may be outside Lebanon. They store the data for us and do not use it for anything else.
We never sell your information or share it with advertisers.
How long we keep it
We keep your information while early access is running and, if you join Mercatus, as part of your account. You can ask us to delete it at any time.
Your rights
You can ask us to show you the information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Email partners@mercatuslb.com from the address you signed up with and we'll handle it promptly.
Keeping it safe
Access to the sign-up list is restricted and protected, and the website only works over a secure (https) connection.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page. If the changes are important, we'll email you before they apply.
